Trent Lund is currently a company director of an ASX-listed company (Wrkr Ltd) and its associated subsidiaries. Leading a Gateway & Clearing House with the product, customer, and regulatory diversity of Wrkr provides a deep understanding of the participants in the GNGB ecosystem and the forces driving industry change, risk and attention.

Over the past three years, Trent has overseen a complex merger, capital raises, technology and cybersecurity refresh, and a compliance overhaul (ISO, SOCII, CPS 230/234 readiness) as the key Board sponsor. As a hands-on leader, Trent has also led the negotiations and market engagement with key stakeholders such as; LinkGroup, their Fund clients (Rest, Host, Aussie, Hesta, CBUS and several smaller funds, Wrkr clients such as ART, CSC and IOOF, numerous Payroll & HR providers, Regulators and Industry groups. The industry engagement has traversed partnerships, emerging cyber threats, PayDay Super reforms and Consumer Data Rights (CDR), all pertinent issues of the GNGB.

In addition to this role, Trent is a Director and Chair in several privately held companies with sophisticated investors. Specifically, Trent is the Chair and Director of PaidRight Pty Ltd, (a joint venture with CSIRO). PaidRight is a software company that reads, interprets FairWork regulations and assesses pay data for payroll compliance. Trent has guided this company from the entrepreneurial phase to its current role of bringing trust to the Australian pay system.

These roles have provided significant insight and experience into the role of a director and the importance of separation of duty from management. In addition, Trent’s Board experience covers technology in payments, regulation, and compliance, with extensive interaction with diverse regulators and stakeholder groups where market collaboration toward an industry- and regulator-aligned goal is critical.

Trent has held numerous positions before Wrkr and PaidRight while leading Innovation and New Business Ventures at PwC and held various pro bono industry Board roles such as QUT Chair for the Digital Economy, Centre for Future Enterprise and the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision.
