Customer Case Study: Reimagining the HR Tech Landscape in Education - from Process to Purpose

A teacher shortage, a 37-year-old DOS-based payroll, poor and unreliable reporting, complex employment requirements, and endless manual forms and processes. These were some of the challenges facing Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese across 80+ schools and over 7,500 employees.
 
Realising this would require more than technology to get it right, CSPD introduced SAP SuccessFactors Payroll into an industry where there was no footprint. More than changing systems and processes, CSPD challenged the way the organisation thought about its most precious resource - its people.
 
The result: a unique casual workforce management tool, including automated timesheets, and a leave solution that brought concurrent employment to a single person level. Within the first week of self-service timesheet management, on time submission rose to more than 90%. In addition, CSPD had its first look at real time visibility of its workforce.
 
This session unpacks the lessons from CSPD’s transformation journey - balancing compliance with fit for purpose solutions that put its people experience first. CSPD has repositioned HR as a strategic partner where its intent is to uplift the people experience to improve student learning outcomes.
